deadngone
Alrighty.. Its getting pretty boring killing stuff for money ( Also, not to metion fighting over monsters with other people). So, I deicded to set a goal on a "Profitable 99 skill" ( Not combat related). I was thinking of fishing becuase its "kinda" afkable and profitable? Plus, People can't steal my fishys :D. ( I have no idea how to train and make money,a fishing guide would be nice). If you have any other ideas comment. Im looking for profit/semi-afk/ and something that doesn't require fighting over for. Thanks!
RoxSabre
Uhh fletching nets a small profit. Since you only need to invest around 1.3 Mil I think and make money everytime after level 70. Hunter is probably the most profitable at 32 mill but is not afkable. Fishing is decent but itsa skill worth investing time into. Farming is always a nice choice aswell. deadngone
Well, I dont like fletching, ( the cape is refered as a "noob" 99). So, Fishing is a okay choice? Im currently lvl 65 fishing. When can I start profiting?
Raisedbyapes
Hunter period. level 88 baby
Lord Diddy
Fishing is always profitable. I'm pretty sure you can go fish monkfish (which is really the best exp and profit middle ground) and is quite afk-able. Also could you post up some stats and a budget, some skills require some starting money but get profitable in higher levels.
deadngone
Lol. I don't know how to make a sig =\. Money is not a problem. Im pretty sure you dont need millions to fish :P I got 68 summon, what is a good familiar that is helpful when fishing?
Barrellchest
Hunter - Chinchompas RC - Laws, Nats, Double Astrals/Nats Fishing - Monkfish WC - Eucs, Yews, Mages Mining Smithing - Cannonballs (dont do this) Fletching - Yew longs Theiving - small profit, but its there Farming - Herbs, Ranarr, toadflax, snapdragon, kwuarm Farming/RC are the best, along with hunter Ibis/Granite Lobster helps with fishing
Lord Diddy
Your rsn is all we need. The best for fishing is granite lobsters at 74? summoning, but ibis are fine. Usually they pouch pays for itself with the swordfish it forages + the boost you get makes it very worthwhile.
RayOxide
Hunter period. level 88 baby Hunter, fishing, both really good. Woodcutting is ok though. Runecrafting is epic if you can take the length of time it takes to actually get 99, or, a high level. Post above me pretty much sums it up I dont need a siggy no moar. deadngone
Im really looking for a afkable skill. I quit whenever I get bored doing the same thing over and over again. For WC, where is a good place to chop? Any place/world with some alone time? BTW. Iblis for fishing '"small amount of exp" HOW small? My Rsn is King_N981
RayOxide
Fishing! Ibis gives you an invisible level boost, and an exp boost (I think) small, however much so, the speed you get more Monks/Sharks/etc at is amazingly better in the long run, not to mention the fact it is payed off double itself with swordfish it spawns. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Raisedbyapes
AFK skill take hunter off the list lol. you have to like boxes.
deadngone
The swordy spwns on the floor or inventory? Do you get exp for it?
RayOxide
The swordy spwns on the floor or inventory? Do you get exp for it? Spawns 'in' the ibis, and can deposit directly in the bank without screwing up your inventory by clicking the 'deposit familiars items' thingy. No exp from the swordies though. I dont need a siggy no moar.
deadngone
Sweet. So, from 65-99 monks all the way?
Barrellchest
Sweet. So, from 65-99 monks all the way? If you want cash, then yes. If you want very little cash but faster xp, fly fish. Fastest xp is barbarian fishing.
deadngone
Did some math, from 65-99 is 104,666 monks = 36.1m cash ( as of today price, might change in future). How long will this take? -.-
Raisedbyapes
I Am not to sure I never time it. But maybe what 300 fish a hour????? :ohnoes:
deadngone
I Am not to sure I never time it. But maybe what 300 fish a hour????? :ohnoes: Dang. 300 an hour? If I play 10hr a day thats 3,000. Divide that by 104,000 , thats like 34 days. and I doubt I'll play 10hr a day. Probably get 99 in 2-3months? -.- -.- -.-
Lord Diddy
Averages are around 35k, you will probably get a bit less because of your starting fishing level. 99 Fishing is quite respectable, and its around 100k/hr for practically doing nothing but clicking a few times and banking. Profitable skills are going to be slow because you're making money. If you could make 36.1m in less than a few months, don't you think that everyone would have done it by now? ;) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
deadngone
Um.. there are ways to make 36.1m in less then a month. Weeks even.
Lord Diddy
Um.. there are ways to make 36.1m in less then a month. Weeks even. Correct, but being able to train a relatively slow skill at a decent rate, while not having to focus too much, and resulting in a nice chunk of cash in the end is worth the time put in.
