Ranarr overview?

Featured Replies

Thoght i would train up farming a bit, and as im also in need of some cash i thought i would take the Ranarr route.

Now, I have no idea how to do it properly, so if someone could quickly tell me how this will make me money and how i should train it (pay the farmers to look after crops? ect.) that would be great

You can't pay farmers to look after ranarrs, and only pay for trees.

For ranarrs, complete My Arm's Big Adventure then for the run itself. Also, don't forget to supercompost herbs to reduce the risk of dying.

-Cabbageport to falador patch.

-Ectophial to Port Phasmatys and plant there.

-Camelot teleport, run to patch and plant.

-Ardougne teleport, run north to patch, plant.

-Trollheim teleport, run through stronghold to patch and plant.

Rinse and repeat.

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.

You should have Magic Secateurs from Fairy Tale Part I which help yield more harvest.

You don't have to pay the farmers, they can't look after herbs for you. I'd just plant them and let them grow, every once in a while a plant will die but you'll still profit in the long run. Also I'd certainly use supercompost, just buy it or buy pineapples and put them in a compost bin.

Make sure you've done my arm's big adventure for the herb patch on top of the troll stronghold (herbs over here can't die).

The route I always follow is:

1) The troll patch, use trollheim teleport or games necklace and walk there, when you use a games necklace don't forget your climbing boots.

2) The patch close to the ectofungus, empty your ecto thing and walk west to the patch, or teleport to cannifs and walk north-east to the patch.

3) The patch south-east of falador, use your explorer ring to teleport to the cabbage patch and go north through the cabbage field, or teleport to falador and go to the patch.

4) The patch north of ardougne, teleport to ardougne and walk there, or use the lunar spell to teleport to the fishing guild and walk south-east from there.

5) Teleport to camelot and walk east to the patch, or teleport to catherby with the lunar teleport. I always end up here because there's that guy who sells pineapples on the dock, and it's close to a bank.

Hope this helps, it's possible that it contains some mistakes though...

thanks, methinks il have a go at it abit later, Is the my arms big adventure required for ranarrs tho? or does it just make it easyer, because i havent done the quest yet...

I recommend doing the quest, 5 patches makes more profit than 4 and later on you can do a combo of ranarr and snapdragon, once you hit 62 farming (4 ranarr seeds in the regular patches, 1 snap dragon in my arm's patch). Or just plant snapdragons in all patches if you don't mind one dying every once in a while. Also the quest isn't that hard.
