ShakaKhan70
I recently got a 400 watt 5.1 RCA surround sound system for my room that I'm really happy about (although I have a small 20" tv to go with it). I was wondering if anyone has a cool surround sound system or gigantic tv they'd like to talk about.
____
This setup belongs to my uncle but I pretty much worked out the components he should get. Sony VPLHS50 Projector STRDE497S Amplifier SAVE835ED 5.1 Sub Satelite Speaker System RDRHX710 DVD Recorder I think that was everything  It pisses all over the setup my family has: Sony 120cm Widescreen HD LCD STRDE497S Amplifier 5.1 Sub Satelite Speaker System (don't think our set is made anymore) DVD / VHS player
Bpob
I've got the Creative Megaworks 550 5.1 THX speakers set up in my room with the DDTS-100 surround decoder, and they go real well. 70watt satellites and 150watt sub, 500watt total, the decoder is also good when i want to use my Zen Micro to play music through the speakers. But yeah like yours, my 25" tv isn't the greatest to go with it.
jfp221
Last winter I installed a projector and build a 7ft 2in diagonal screen for it, has 5.1 surround sound. But the room is a little too light. I will be putting blackout shades on all the windows soon. By soon I really mean i'll consider doing it and never actually getting around to doing it. If anyone feels like making a screen pm me and I'll tell you how I made mine, and it worls very well.
____
I was lucky. I setup my uncles in his garage, so I only had like 4 opaque windows* to cover. I just got some heavy curtains and staple gunned them to a wood frame which you can slide into place over the windows. *windows are about 30cm by 120cm
ShakaKhan70
A projector would be awsome, but I doubt it would fit in my room, and my famly wouldn't be too pleased if I put it anywhere else. I might get an LCD widscreen if I ever get the money together.
