August 28, 200520 yr I recently got a 400 watt 5.1 RCA surround sound system for my room that I'm really happy about (although I have a small 20" tv to go with it). I was wondering if anyone has a cool surround sound system or gigantic tv they'd like to talk about.

August 28, 200520 yr I've got the Creative Megaworks 550 5.1 THX speakers set up in my room with the DDTS-100 surround decoder, and they go real well. 70watt satellites and 150watt sub, 500watt total, the decoder is also good when i want to use my Zen Micro to play music through the speakers. But yeah like yours, my 25" tv isn't the greatest to go with it.
August 28, 200520 yr Last winter I installed a projector and build a 7ft 2in diagonal screen for it, has 5.1 surround sound. But the room is a little too light. I will be putting blackout shades on all the windows soon. By soon I really mean i'll consider doing it and never actually getting around to doing it. If anyone feels like making a screen pm me and I'll tell you how I made mine, and it worls very well.
August 28, 200520 yr I was lucky. I setup my uncles in his garage, so I only had like 4 opaque windows* to cover. I just got some heavy curtains and staple gunned them to a wood frame which you can slide into place over the windows. *windows are about 30cm by 120cm
August 28, 200520 yr Author A projector would be awsome, but I doubt it would fit in my room, and my famly wouldn't be too pleased if I put it anywhere else. I might get an LCD widscreen if I ever get the money together.
