should i make him a range/2h pure?

what is a pure to you? i can clearly see you level all combat skills...you can stop def at level 40 just to use a rune chain with a 2h...or go all the way and be a tanker...with higher def

Hmmm ... yes. 33 def is already high for a pure. You might as well be a tank.
