My question isn't about the costs or exp rates, but about the position of the monkeys. On guides, it always states to get the monkeys into a 3x3 square for the most exp. But when I chin, I just let 3 monkeys stack into each other in a smaller 2x2 square. When I release the chin, I see 3 damage splats on each stack (I use bunyips instead of fighter familiars, don't think any familiars are strong enough at my level, so can't be because of familiar).

 

 

 

So is it really necessary to get the monkeys in a 3x3 square, and I'm just imagining numbers? Or is it ok for the monkies to stack?

what i do is get the monkies to stack in 7 squares.

I run from 1 M to the other M after about 2 kills to let the bones spawn more monkies. make sure you click on that exact square and you wont have a problem with monkey displacement
