/b/ is a mysterious beast. Most of the talk was sending him positive stuff, and people don't like to go against "the group" some of it was obvious trolling. There are some pictures of people sending him like a Thank you vets card from hallmark. i sent him a card, that just wished him a happy birthday and thanked him for his service. I just found out my district's being strange and starting on the 7th. As far as I know only one other district in my state is doing it that way. Not to mention that my district has been starting on the 2nd for decades.
