On the note of the China Lake(which in 95% sure is the grenade launcher) the guy looks like some kind of resistance fighter, so it's actually a kinda good "story" point if he's using outdated equipment.

It's a game based in the 1960s. It's technically not outdated.

Nah, that was in CoP.

 

I think there were chimeras but they just didn't add them to the game (I think you can turn them on through some command or changing some files, or something).
