You can use the Law altar teleportation tablets from the Great Orb Project minigame to travel to Entrana with the Large pouch including the orb, saving you from a trip through Abyss. I have succesfully used a tablet during that step of the quest.

 

Sadly, I can't post proof pictures because I've already completed the quest.
