Hello everyone.

 

I've got a rather strange problem. I can't do anything on www.runescape.com.

 

The page itself loads correctly, but when I'm trying to play, go to the forum, customer support, it goes:

 

 

I tried playing trough IE, Firefox, SwiftKit. They all do the same thing, so I guess there's something wrong with my computer. The thing is, it just occured randomly. I didn't change anything in my PC. One day I just turned it on, wanted to gain some morning Hunter experience, and bam. That's what happened.

 

 

 

Any tips on how to fix it?

EDIT:nvm i tried to log into the runescape website and i didnt get that so its probably something to do with your computer.

For some reason i don't trust that. try this link http://www.runescape.com/game.ws?m=1&j=1, it takes you to where the game loads up and you play it.

I believe that to be a scamsite, perhaps you have some malware on your computer. Could you please PM me a picture of your whole browser window (including your address bar) while you are on that page (just to make 100% sure)?

 

 

 

I would also suggest you run a full virus scan as soon as possible, it looks like some malware has changed your hosts file to redirect runescape.com to a spoof site.

Oh yea, and the adress bar says "http://runescape.com/loginform.php?m=1&j=1".

And CptBaker's link doesn't work. Same thing happens.

Something is wrong. You should be able to go to the forums or load up the game. I do it all the time without being logged in. So whatever you do, do not put in your info. Or you can try putting in fake info... But idk how well that would work :wall:

its your computer because when i clicked on cptbaker's link it works for me so you must have somekind of software on your computer.

real site ALWAYS has www. or a replacer such as weblogin. or items.

 

 

 

secondly if you go to log in you get:

If you flip to the non java version:

 

"https://weblogin.runescape.com/loginform.ws?mod=www&ssl=0&dest="

 

 

 

Neither is the address you are getting, nor php based

Ok, we know it's a fake masking address now. Could you please do the following?

 

 

 

Go to Windows Explorer, and navigate to "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC". Double click to open the "hosts" file. When it prompts you to ask what you want to open it with, choose "Notepad". Then either copy and paste the contents into your post, or into a PM and send it to me if you feel uncomfortable showing it in public.

What I recommend you doing is running a full virus scan as soon as possible and see what comes up. This would be the best way to firstly remove the problem, we can deal with the redirects later. Once you have the results of the scan, post back here.

I can't believe I somehow let it happen.. I didn't do anything and.. well, I guess I was underestimating these things. My password stayed the same, I logged in.

Hahah, I logged in. Someone's been playing on my acc. The ip was hidden.

 

 

 

What happened is:

 

-The guy bought alot of runes of different kinds

 

-Bought 2 balls of wool

 

-Made some revise of my old bank stuff (actually- thx, noob.)

 

 

 

And yea, Imma changing my pass now.
