i was thinking about taking up fishing and get that level up pretty high and sell some raw monkfish, but i'm open to any suggestions.

also: i'd prefer a method that doesn't require my 100% attention, like fishing... but i'm open to ANYTHING.

thanks.

Well, as an experienced skill-monkey... I'd say fishing for lobsters. They're faster experience and in high demand, raw or cooked. Once you get 80 fishing, sharks are doable, but still a bit slow.

Also, once you're a member... Do clues! Who knows when you'll strike it rich?

Save up all the days

A routine malaise

Just like yesterday

I told you I would stay

Since you've already got a high Woodcutting level you should go for Magic trees, they take hours just for a log.

If you really wanted to go for Monkfishes then you should get your Fishing higher first by Barbarian Fly Fishing.

You can also just do Slayer with your decent skills, much hasn't changed for those making money by skilling if I'm not wrong. Or the 26k trick.

Monks are faster money per hour and faster exp. Once you can do monks, theres no point in fishing anything else for money because you already have the best.

Skills:

*Farming: If you have willow trees, get branches off them, they sell fast and are pretty good (around 1,6k each).

Marigolds, low level granted, but they are 3,3k each. Limpwort roots, 3 per seed and around 1,2k each although you may want to use those for herblore.

*Hunter (lurapia's are good for lower level hunters, for higher levels, you'll probably already know).

*Mining/smithing (either sell bars or smith all and alc platebodies). Buying mith ore and superheating bars probably is best at your level. Bring nats, lave/fire battlestaff and mithril ore into mine for max efficiency. Either smelt bars until you reach 68 and high alc platebodies, or sell bars.

*Fishing/cooking (old, but effective, cooking gauntlets recommended).

*Runecrafing: through abbys, of course. Useful to have several glory ammies to minimize recharging trips. Nats do fine.

*Thieving, Master Farmers are pretty good.

*Fletching, if that's your thing. Cutting your own logs helps, alcing yew longs is recommended.

*Woodcutting, although selling logs without fletching is a waste of xp.

*Pure essence: nooby, but effective.

*Slayer: most creatures drop pretty good things, perhaps do Smoking Kills (Quest) if you're lvled up a bit. That will pay off. Other than that, Tears of Guthix is a good Quest to help you lowest skills up.

That said, you wanted something that doesn't require too much attention, fishing monks is fine, pure essence too, as you're not too high mining, wc and fetching do too.

You can always do farming while fishing/woodcutting, etc.

thanks for all of the suggestions. i'll probably start off just by fishing monks, maybe do a little farming at the same time, and might try the manage thy kingdom thing(never tried it before). might try slayer, what's something good to kill near my level?(will train it some if neccessary)

Read back to what I said about slayer. Getting assignments will probably be best as it also levels your slayer and variety is good/more fun. Most creatures have pretty good drops.

Good luck.
