This is going to sound nooby but whats the diffrence between camping and tanking :?

 

 

 

Ive always wondered. :oops:

Camping will have you staying there for a good 4+ hours.

 

Tanking by definition is wearing high defense armour and taking all the blows.

 

 

 

Sometimes they get mixed as when tanking avis you can camp there due to the high defense stats and the ease of camping there.

 

 

 

Other times theres a big difference, for example Bandos GWD. When tanking you'll rarely last over 3 hours when tanking, but you can camp there for days (granted you have a good team which always has people on or you logout and login in the room)

Camping is staying at a training spot long term without banking and can be applied to almost any skill

 

 

 

Tanking is wearing high defence, often torags, in order to training and take the hits using food or possibly guthans/bunyip instead of praying or wearing gear with better attack stats

 

 

 

In terms of combat tanking and camping often go hand in hand as praying and tanking are the two methods that allow you to camp at things such as aviansies.
