What exactly does each special terrain do? And how do they help.

From what i've seen, it makes your troops hit harder. But i'm not 100% on that.

Elves beat dwarves normally, but on special terrain they're even from what I've found. And if it's vis versa then you'll slaughter the enemy. So I guess it strengthens whatever is on it.

So to use it all i have to do is to set my troops on a special terrain?

I always just stack all 10 there, it helps a lot.
