slayer: you attack assigned stuff to level

 

summoning: you make little baggies to level

 

 

 

last i checked, attack is a combat skill, and making baggies is something thats along the lines of crafting

 

 

 

 

 

despite that, summoning contributes more to combat than slayer.

 

 

 

for example, whats going to help you more when you're fighting another player? if you have a steel titan fighting for you, than its going to help a lot more than slayer which, imo, can hardly do anything that can aid you.

 

 

 

same thing with monsters. a person with a unicorn can kill more monsters (or fight stronger ones) than someone that doesn't have a unicorn.

 

 

 

oh and i forgot prayer. you gain combat level yet you only have to bury bones to level up! and how does that have to do anything with combat?

the steel titan bit may be true, but with prayer, you can use it in all forms of engagement. 1v1, 1v5, multi, single, whereas the titan can only fight if its multi.

i was rofling when u said ur "old school" and only train the old skills. tbh u can play the game any way u want but be prepared to get flamed by the people that think differently about that when u vioce ur opinion about those skills on a forum.

 

 

 

imo u need to try getting up those "new" skills and see how some can be fun and useful before u act like ur gonna be real cool and be "old school"...
