Promise
Your doing great, a perfect first step! The first thing you want to focus on is your range. Its good to see that your not forgetting to train your attack and strength, it'll make training defense much easier. For now, I would just train range to 70 and then go for 40 defense, or switch it up a bit, what ever makes it easier. Just keep up the good work! :D
one4yourhead
Should i train defense buy doing melee or should i train it by doing range? I was mostly doing atk and str to get my Hitpoints up Total Exp. - 350,000 Total Exp. - 337,500----------------------------------------------------------------I like to think I'm cool.. Battleaxe692
The best thing to would be get ranged up high, and then get defence levels by melee. Don't gain too many attack or defence levels due to it would mess with your combat.
Sir_Kurity
Just train range to a comfortable level, maybe 40-50, and then train defensive range. O.O
Flamingboy52
I dunno if there's a better way to do it, but I trained range defensivly until 40 def/ range, then went on to get 50 range with rapid and did dragon slayer at that point. "Maybe someone should help you with that.""Sir, I'm president of the Electronics club, the math club, and the chess club, if there's a bigger nerd in here, please, point him out." AgingMiser
Never, ever use any style except rapid to train range, especially long range. The increased accuracy given by accurate is almost nonexistent, not to mention it's slower. Longrange is only helpful it you're... *silence* Use melee to train defence. Remember though, that you should never let [A + S] > 1.5[R] (A is Attack, S is Strength, R is Ranged), so as to keep your combat range based. However, if it ever does, don't make it by too much, or else the melee pures will start giving you trouble. 60-99 with 99 range (in f2p, and p2p) is good because the difference isn't that much, and your stats will still be amazing for your combat. As for where to stop defence... I'd say 85-90, if you plan to stop at all.
