I have two friends who just came back to Runescape after a long break. After a long talk I recommended them to do the "Defender of Varrock" quest for Armoured Zombies, obviously, but the quest doesn't appear in their quest journal. I have quest cape and I never had any similar problems. Is there any reason why? Is there a requirement we never heard of? Varrock achievement diary perhaps?

Get them to uncheck the filter option in the Quest tab.

Alright that answers my question. It works for both of em. I never had to use that feature because I've always had quest cape.
