Godsword Trade Confusion

Ok, I guess you should know this beforehand. I just came off of a year and a half break and in that time all the trade limits were imposed. I've come back, and finally decided I wanted to get a BGS. Trouble is, the GE max price says it's 18.9m at time of writing, BUT somehow people are offering like 19.4m and upwards past that.

What I don't understand is how people can do that, and for some reason, no one will accept pure cash, which I don't understand either.

And, lastly, if anyone can help me, what should I do to get my BGS, even if one doesn't sell in the GE overnight. I have about 20.5m to work with.

This whole confusing situation is the result of junk making and trading, which is the only known (Legal) way around the trade limit. People are unwilling to accept the ge as the final decider of prices, and they base the "street price" around recent updates which may have affected supply and demand faster than the ge can track it. Junk making usually caps off at 200k an hour, and should be gained through skilling if you truely need it. The whole idea is really [developmentally delayed], but the people who decide the street price are the ones who rule the economy.

Ok, so what is considered "junk"? And if people are using junk to trade, doesn't the junk itself have value that is tracked and because of that, after so much of this junk that it goes over the trade limit?

What would be your advice to junk trade for a BGS?

Junk is items that are large in supply but small in demand. Willow and maple bows, javelins, cooked trout, and fire runes are some common kinds of junk. The point of junk is not to trade for nothing, but to balance out the value of a highly sought after item that the owner wants more than max price for. For instance, you might put up 19.4mil for a BGS, and the owner would put up the sword and 500k in maple longbows (u). It's also used in loans, so that the owner can get more than 50k for a 24 hour loan of his ss. Hoped this helped.

My advice is to keep the offer in the ge, and just let junk accumulate over time.
