Tennvols21 New Graphic!

Recommended Posts

After a few days working with Gimp 2.6.6. I have been reading tutorials and following the advice and recommendations given to me by many users of different Graphics forums. I love working with Art, and I have always wanted to branch into the digital world of Art! Not one rating/ or flaming of my works can be too harsh. Any help is greatly appreciated and would mean the world to me! Thanks to anyone who posts.

First, it's Graphic, not Graphics, there is only one ;)

On Topic: Not bad, for a beginner it looks quite good. It has good flow, and I like how you have paid attention to the lighting. However, the text is too big, and take your eyes off of the focal D: And the border is just all out too big. I know Shiny will say otherwise though ;)

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

Ah, I have changed my ways. It looks alright, now you need to work on building up effects. You can use heaps of things, but the most easy to use at this stage are C4Ds. The easiest place to procure them is http://planetrenders.net/. The other thing you need to do is take out the text, and define the focal with lighting. So far so good.

I am glad you got GIMP, to be honest. For a while, I thought I was the only one left.

Thanks so much for the tips. I have learned through my art "career" that lighting plays a HUGE part in the overall effect of a piece, which helped me in this work. And thank you so much for the text comment, I was wary about how much text to use, and I guess I went over board :?

-On another point, what exactly are C4Ds, and what maakes them easier to use? Just wondering if anyone knows the answer..

Thank you again.. Tennvols21 =D>

C4D's are abstract images generated with Cinema 4D any 3D modeling program. I personally hate them, but when used right they can yield impressive results.

Yeah but it doesn't HAVE to be made in C4D... if you made it in blender or 3dsmax know one would know.
