Quest Help: Enakhra's Lament

I'm on the part where you have to clear the furnace and melt the fountain.

 

I have wasted atleast 400 runes attemtping to complete them both, and I have had no luck with either.

 

Am I doing something wrong? I have done the wood part where you light the wood on fire and gave the cake to that guy.

 

Any help much appreciated. :)

I've done nothing.

 

I have tried doing wind spells at the furnace and fire spells at the fountain, done countless and I am having no dang luck.

Have you investigated both the fountain and the furnace?

 

 

 

I would not cast any more spells hoping for a different result until you find out what your problem is, by the way.

If by ingestigated you mean Examine, yes.

Examine Fountain - 'This fountain is frozen solid.'

 

Examine Crust of Ice - ' Very think, and very cold.'

 

 

 

Melt Crust of Ice - ' That ice looks three feet thick! I don't think I can melt it using normal fire.'

 

 

 

Those are all 3 of my right clicks I can do on the fountain.

I've been using Fire Bolts.

 

If you've already completed the quest, how many casts each did it take for you?

I just casted 5. And everytime I hear a little 'bonk' sound like it failed to work, which ofcourse it did.

 

Can you possible go through step-by-step what you do when you get on the second floor? Perhaps I missed something that was in the guide, because i've gone over it numerous times and still no luck.

Maybe you need to talk through some chat with that old man you gave the cake to. Try asking him all of the available questions.

Ugh. So I decided to take off my gear and try to Mage, and it worked.

 

Hell if I knew.. Jeez :P
