September 25, 200520 yr Whenever I try and open Paint, I get an error message "Windows is searching for Paint.Ink. To locate the file yourself, click browser..." My OS is Windows XP. Thanks in advance.
September 25, 200520 yr idk try searching for paint, or mspaint in the search files and if it comes up trying opening one of them and if one of them opens the program replace the old shortcut with that one. other than that i have no clue.
September 25, 200520 yr Either paint is not installed or something is wrong with the shortcut. Try Start -> Run -> mspaint If it runs, find the paint executable (named mspaint[Caution: ExecutableFile] somewhere in the Windows folder) and create a new shortcut. If it doesn't run, enter your Windows CD, go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add Windows Components and then add the Paint. Live free or die. First option is exhausted, so guess what remains?

September 26, 200520 yr Its possible only the shortcut got accidently changed. If this happens again just check the properties of the shortcut location.
