shortkid111
I downloaded the lastest version of Java from Java.com and it told me I already have it so apparently I have the latest version of Java installed... My problem is that if I try to set my recovery questions on the runescape client, Firefox, and IE, I get the blank box with a red x on the top left. In the Java console, I have this: load: class passwordapp.class not found. java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: passwordapp.class at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.AppletViewer.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.runLoader(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed. at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader.access$100(Unknown Source) at sun.applet.AppletClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) ... 10 more Vend:Sun Microsystems Inc. shortkid111
Here are the options I have for IE Care to explain what other Java there is for me to uncheck or is this the wrong place to look? And what should I do about Firefox and the Runescape client? I don't know how to change the settings there...
jammy316
Runescape Client is just basically an I.E window(little more complex not much). I'd take a look at this post by Merc within this post:: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=118813 May help alot, and with that you should be able to install the Firefox plug-in. shortkid111
... From my pic that I posted, there is no Microsoft VM so I should be using the right Java... ... I can play the game but I can't set my recovery questions. ... I have no Java Plugin control panel - I do have one Java icon in my control panel ... There is no basic tab- My tabs are General, Update, Java, Security, and Advanced. ... So basically... It doesn't help...
L_B_P
A quick solution instead of untick and tick etc for hours and it still don't work. Uninstall java - reboot computer - install it again - can't remember if it need a reboot, but it don't hurt. Then see if it work

L_B_P
Try only do this part as sticky tell you: Internet option and java plug in controll use signe applet using default java - different from from sticky If still not working here last thing you can do, that have helped alot ppl, only use incase you don't have msjava installed. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\ Create a msjava.txt file - Rename it to msjava.dll and try again playing RS
