java plug in control panel and plug in 1.4.2

My last topic got turned into a discussion/arguement so im restarting a new one :(

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

my IE could run rs fine a few month ago, but now rs wont load. i tried to dl and install SUN java, and more problems comes

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

when i tries to play rs(under SUN java) it says to dl and install plug in 1.4.2, which i do, but then it wouldnt install, saying the package doesnt exist.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i read over the topics, and couldnt find this java plug in control panel, i only have a java control panel, which is very different when opened...

my guess would be that rs updated to the newer version of java (java 5.0) but they forgot to change the version number in the error screen, so what you should do is go to sun microsystems site and download the latest jre from there

as i said before. download the old ms java and install if you use ie only for runescape then your ok

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if not get firefox (which is more secure and safer)

it wouldnt run on firefox either. i have IE, firefox, and mozilla. i use IE for rs, which is where the problem started, and i use firefox for everything else.
