I dont have a shield atm, i usually use defender or unholy book. Both seem best for most situations. I cannot afford a DFS either but i am aware that ppl prefer the defender anyways unless dragon hunting. I usually wear guthans and run the usual whip , defender an fury combo. Would buying a bless spirit shield be worth getting?

defender is the best imo

Defender for melee

 

DFS is good for bosses and dragons, but not necessary

 

Granite shield for tank-ranging

 

Unholy book for safe-ranging.

Yes, if you want a shield that is not too expensive, better than d sq and have no -magic bonus.

 

 

 

However, just dont buy it right now (in fact i just sold mine today).

 

Currently, it seems that some merchant clans are merchanting the shield and may/will start dumping it.

 

Just wait untill the price has settle down a bit, then go on and buy it.
