Cooking or fletching to 99? and how?

So, I wanna get one of these skills to 99 to trim my theiving cape, but I don't know which one :/

I currently have lvl 70 cooking, around how much it cost with the current prices to get it to 99? and approx how long time would it take?

Lately, both lobster, monkfish and sharks has gone up in price alot, are they gonna keep rising or do I risk losing even more money if the go down?

I would really prefer to get cooking if the price isn't to high :3 Since it's very afk-able, and I could use it after blackjacking from lvl 45-99 in theiving >.>

In fletching I currently have lvl 89, so it wouldn't take as long as with cooking, but if I do fletching, would making mithril bolts or making yew/mage longs be best? Do I break even with both methods? And what's the exp for making long bows? I heard mith bolts are around 200k exp/h.

All opinions/advice appriciated! :D

I went 80-99 cooking for around 3.5m. Took about a week or two of just cooking stuff. Up to level 90 buy raw lobsters and sell cooked, 90-94 do monkfish, 94-99 do sharks. Or alternatively 90-99 monkfish.

You would break even or make a small profit fletching longbows. Magic longbows are perfectly viable. I forget how fast they are, though. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Fletching is the RS Wiki's fletching calculator. It doesn't have calculations for buying unstrung and stringing, but it has most everything else.

You're right to be cautious about the current peak prices of fish, since they have been volatile lately. 90-day graph of sharks. Judging by that graph, they look stabler than they were a few weeks ago, so it's possible that the high price will hold, but I wouldn't buy too many at a time, just in case. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Cooking_fish for RS Wiki's fish calculator, which should help with calculating the cost. Keep in mind you can always augment the price of 99 cooking up or down by making p'apple pizza or wine on the side. P'apple pizza will go slower but make a big profit, and wine will go a lot faster but cost a lot more. Since the ingredients for pizza and wine can be slower to buy, you might consider them as secondary methods to fish; but basically they allow you to name your own price. I made something like 50m gp in profit when I got 99 cooking, and you can still do the same thing if you want.
