Featured Replies

Well i'm wondering which is the fastest yet cost effective method of getting me to 88 smithing.

I would like to know a couple of things about eah method.

Xp/h whilst using SC hammers for each method

Gp/Xp for each method

And also whether the end produt ( i.e Mith plate or addy bolt/arrow ) sell on the g.e and at what price ( mid/min? )

That's all i want to know really if you could help i'd be greatful.

I've had about a couple hundred mith plates on min in the ge for about a week now... they don't sell =P I hope that helps a little bit =x

sc hammers give 32k bonus each hammer reguardless of what you smith, so after say 1250 iron bars they break resulting in 64k exp.

Full mith sets (legs more than skirts) sell a lot better than just the plates. Slows down the training though...

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

If you have an expensive item that you could lend out for large amounts per hour, such as a godsword or partyhat then mithril platebodies might be the way to go. I'm unsure of the gp/xp for bolts vs arrowtips at the moment, but when I was training smithing arrowtips was actually a break-even method.

The SC hammers last for 32k bonus experience (64k total), and are definitely beneficial when it comes to training smithing. I'm unsure of the experience per hour, but you could find that out quite simply by smithing for 10-15 minutes and multiplying accordingly.

You may or may not want to wait for a potential price drop with everyone heading back to school. I would personally wait, but it's your call. Just figured I'd make you aware of a potential loss of cash.

heres the GP/XP if you buy bars for mid and sell the product for mid its calculated without SC hammers so half the number if your going to use them

Addy arrowheads 5.904 GP/XP

addy bolts unf 9.504 GP/XP

mith plates 14.368 GP/XP

if you do use hammers mith plates would be 7.184 GP/XP and very fast as you use 5 bars instead of one with bolts/arrowheads

Smithing addy bolts/arows will will take you 5x longer than smithing mith platebodies but selling the addy bolts will be a lot easier than the mith plates and you'll get back more of your money if you bought the bars.
