In my kitchen, we have a family computer that has Windows Vista installed with a full out TV on it in the media center. What I want to do it stream the TV on that computer up to my Xbox 360 in my room, so I can watch TV.

 

I know this is possible, because I started setting it up a couple months ago. But then I found out I needed a Media Extender to do it.

 

Could anybody point me towards a good place to buy them cheap? Will all "media extenders" work the way I want them to work in this situation, or do I have to buy a special one? I don't want to take any risks because they are expensive.

 

 

 

Could somebody tell me if this one would work? It looks like the best bet for me.

I think that only works if you mod your xbox. And I'm not even sure that is capable of streaming live tv.
