Is it true that Graador only switches when a combat familiar attacks him?

That's what I've been told. I bought 8 BGS yesterday because I believed that he attacked regardless, but it seems with a non-combat healing familar this would not occur. I managed to sell them each 300k above med before everyone else caught onto this, so no harm done. ::'
