Upon the release of the blast furnace i came up with this idea, Smithing molds. It would be like the blast furnace except insted of needin less ores you need less bars. It would work on the same principals of the balst furnace were you need multiple people and it would make it so that you would say (EX) oinly need 1 bar for a scimitar or say 4 bars for a plate, and items that only require one bar would have 2 made out of it ie) axes - you would get 2 axes from one bar.

He said it'd be a mini-game in the same way as the blast furnace, but instead using bars.

The moulds would be for making certain weapons/armour/accessories.

What about the ppl who want to make bars not items?

What about people who want ores and not bars? That'd make the Blast Furnace redundant.

The idea works that currently you mine/buy, smelt, smith. This idea would make it a mine/buy, smelt.

The logic is sound as at the moment you get a meaty bar, Most of that is burn or cut off. Depending on what you are doing.

This idea make it so that it all flows into one mold. Making the extra bits un-needed, Any overflow as with a mace would be caught and made into a half bar or something that you could then smelt into a whole bar, or a 1 bar item.

But this upsets the balance as money prodution is supposed to be hard(Not to mention that the weapons would be of a poor quality, as sword are made from soft and hard metal), This would make smithing so easy to lvl. And produce a new set of weapons that were, in essance, useless. ie. Bronze dagger at half strengh...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
