I haven't played in 844 days, help?

Holy cow am I confused. I came back for a laugh to see how long it had actually been, plus if I am bored enough at university this fall I might take up RS again.

 

 

 

It took me 5 minutes to find someone to tell me how to move the camera angle.

 

After another 10 minutes, nobody could answer for me:

 

- I'm Level 62 combat, is that still pretty decent or are there a ton of Level 90+ players?

 

- If my Rune armour was still the strongest in the game

 

- If my Mime Mask was worth anything / discontinued and extremely rare now. I forgot how I got the thing.

 

 

 

In fact nobody would talk to me at all. The only talking I heard was people calling each other noobs constantly. I haven't played Xbox Live, but this is probably worse than Xbox Live. Runescape has become a bunch of pretentious *****es. And on top of that, I can't get access to their forums because I don't have enough of some requirement to ask my questions... faaaack. So I decided to post here.

 

 

 

Can you answer those questions above about Rune armor and the mime mask? And uh, I don't know where to begin... if anybody has played for that long and would care to go through every update since then for me I'd be greatful. I notice the same gameplay mechanics but a lot of new stuff.

 

 

 

Like the Grand Exchange in the bank, is that some kind of auction house or something? It says I can't use it until I take a tutorial but I don't know where the tutorial is.

 

 

 

I imagine there are new areas, even for new members?

 

 

 

What is the deal with player killing now? I heard a rumor a while ago that they removed the wilderness entirely, and now players PVP some other way soooo whats up?

Can I level agility or is that a members-only job? Farming? Construction? Slayer??? What are these all about. I hope I can farm as a non-member because I love farming.

Your best bet would either woodcutting yews or mining coal, I think.

Answers in bold. I was purposely vague in most cases, simply because it would take ages to fill you in on all you've missed. If I was you, I would read the old news archives on the runescape site, check the many guides here on tip.it, and keep posting any specific questions you have right here.

1. Lvl 62 isn't really that good but it shouldn't take that long to train up, in f2p it's pretty decent though.

 

2. I don't think rune has been the strongest for a very long time, it is unless you want corrupt armour but it only last 15 minutes thats only in f2p.

 

3.Mime mask is from the mime random event.

 

For the grand exchange you have to talk to the guy north of this desk forget his name if your having trouble just talk to all NPC around it.

 

There is alot of new areas for members and even a few for f2p.

 

Pking is quite a bit differet for one thing you have to be on a specific world and when you die, unless on certain worlds you lose everything. Since theres so much thats changed I suggest you just look at the Tip it guide.

Lvl 62 is average id say.(55-80) are the most common levels i see but yes there are a ton of players level 105+. As for skills: farming is members(sorry to burst your bubble). So is herblore, construction, summoning, theiving, agility, hunting, etc. Etc... As for rune armor? Well... Lets just say everybody level 50+ that isnt pure has rune armor. You should check the combat guide for things like this. Really good armor nowadays would be(for p2p) barrows, bandos, armadyl, and stuff like that. But if your f2p. Rune is one of the best armors(behind guthix, saradomin, and zamarock armors). A lot will change in 844 days. Like duel arena is for non members now, theres the grand exchange(a huge marketplace) etc. etc. etc.... Youll just have to explore. Btw welcome back to runescape =D>
