X3EN
Don't count on it... Usually you can buy splitbark legs/leaf bladed sword at min and make some profit. However, they are COSTLY and buy quite SLOW. Making profit with alching is soooooooo inb4restrictedtrade, mainly when rs was swarming with macroers. Your best bet with alching is buying ruby rings in Zanaris, 6gp/cast. Zaaps1
Rune items, battlestaves, and a few adamant items can sometimes profit. Keep an eye on prices. But alching really isn't a terrific method of training. It's simple and can SOMETIMES profit, but that's it. Every other method is a lot better. ~It's Super Effective! X3EN
Every other method is a lot better. Humidify makes profit, but it's worse than alching. Zaaps1
Every other method is a lot better. Humidify makes profit, but it's worse than alching. That's why it's not a viable method :P When I say "method", I mean one of the real, viable ones, not humidify, which is junk. ~It's Super Effective! Alching is crap, tbh, dont bother with it, try something better :) I dont need a siggy no moar.

purewcnub
scape-xp.com has a great high alch calc. I'd reccomend alching some of the items listed on there while picking up swamp tar. Goals: 94 magic94 ranged55 slayerAddy gloves-done
Zaaps1
okej, if its crap, what shall i do to get up my magic and not so damn expensive? Enchant bolts, enchant in MTA, super glassmake, super plankmake, and bursting/barraging rock lobs. Those are all better options and are cheap. You may think bursting/barraging is expensive. But in reality, it is not expensive. If you could buy 1 computer for say, $500, but could get the same computer plus a lot of other stuff such as expensive software, laser mouse, drawing touch pad, etc. but for a much high price, is it really more expensive? For bursting, you aren't getting just magic xp. You're getting HP and Summoning xp as well, and that is worth a lot. Smoke barrage gets me 110k magic xp per hour and 60k hp xp per hour. It also gets me 220 crims worth of charms. The choice is yours, but I would gladly pay a few hundred thousand coins more per hour for that than just 100k magic xp. ~It's Super Effective! mrpadre
You should alch while doing something else...Like Superheating! If your mind isn't blown yet, consult your local physician, cause it should be. It costs a little bit, not too much, maybe like 1.5gp/exp, but you can get around 135k-140k exp per hour, and that's just the magic exp, if you do iron, add 15k smithing exp, if you do gold (It costs a lot) you can get 75k smithing exp on top of the 135k magic exp. I recently made a video about it, you can just watch the first minute, and you'll get the idea, although you could watch the whole 4 minutes and make my life complete. mughinn
i prefer to raise using methods that give xp in other skills too, superheating, superglass make, or bursting/barraging lobs are very good methods in my opinion
