i'd advise you to use more colours for the blade. i myself just finished a sword lately, i could post it and you could look at my style and maybe pic up some hints, if you'd like.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

generally try to stay away from large areas of one colour, shade the hilt aswell. and the 45 degree lines don't look very good IMO, other than that, it looks ok.

by more colours, I hope you mean shading. And, even if he doesnt..when you zoom out, the blade will look fine.
