being_true
Just kinda curios as to how you guys think about this. Is todays mage update enough to make it equal to melee and range? I personally never thought it was underpowered tbh but it seemed i was on of the few to see it that way so is this enough and is are we finally looking at a combat triangle instead of a line as many have put it or does it need more? And this is pretty much p2p im talking about here since mage is still dumb as aides in f2p when it comes to medium to high level combat. 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER! quelmotz
No. Simple as that. It only makes it slightly more convenient for mages. Nothing major to make mages come up to the same power as melee/range in F2P. I don't know why anyone would think otherwise. Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing! Sir_Kurity
I havent tried it, (havent been playing + not member) but it seems to make it easier to switch from magic to melee for KO, also it makes the normal spellbook alot better (autocast godspells yay) and gives magic a slight boost. Still no real KO potential, but as a damage dealer its alot better. O.O
Owned_Nex
Yes. Before you couldn't use mage by itself, as you'll get piled by 1 itemers instantly. However, if you are smart, and can infact kill melee effectively. Magic is extremely double edged. It requires precision. It is capable of heavy damage much moreso then melee or range(in terms of consistancy), but allows for heavy damage in return. Magic probably suffers the most from the combat triangle, so it won't do well against rangers. Its godly in teams. Nuff said. Solo its also good for Deep Wildy PKing. Near the border is sucks because it has no KO potential besides spells that hit instantly or delayed, but its a different story in deep wildy. Shadow Barrage unpots and degrades a Warrior's attack. Ice allows for farcasting. If they use D hide a simple DDS rush will get them out. The key to winning is draining all of their food. Dungeoneering isn't a skill.
