September 3, 200916 yr I've got a couple things I've been wondering for a while but never bothered to ask until now- 1. What is the closest teleport location to a fairy ring? I've been using varrock tele (I have it set to tele me directly to grand exchange) and then running northeast and under the wall to the fairy ring, but there's gotta be a closer one than that.. right? 2. What the hell are all those people doing splashing spells on spiders in the lumby basement? Some kind of new AFK way to train mage? September 3, 200916 yr 1) If you have a Ring of Slaying you can teleport to the slayer cave and use the Fairy Ring there. 2) Its a recent AFK way of training mage, but the exp/hr is really low and not worth it. Yet they still seem to do it. September 3, 200916 yr With the Lumby Caves, if you have a -27 mage attack (i think its -27) you fail auto casting spells... You can use almost every spell on them, but idiots still use wind strike which is like 5k xp an hour :-#
September 3, 200916 yr Author Wow. That's completely ridiculous. Jagex ought to make those spiders unattackable, or something >. September 3, 200916 yr Using a slayer ring to Fremmy slayer dungeon will bring you a few steps away from a fairy ring... I think.
September 3, 200916 yr 1. Easily the closest teleport to a fairy ring is the slayer ring teleport to the slayer caves. It takes you just a few steps from the ring. 2. They're training magic AFK (albeit slowly).
September 4, 200916 yr Author Ironically, I'm looking for a close fairy ring so I can get TO that fairy ring by the slayer dungeon faster, to train my slayer so I can get the ability to make slayer rings. XD Are there any other close ones? If not I'll keep using the varrock/edge one. Glory tele is better than the one you are using. Although the Slayer Ring tele to the Slayer caves is the absolute fastest. Ectophial is the fastest that does not require an item with a set amount of charges. 2. What the hell are all those people doing splashing spells on spiders in the lumby basement? Some kind of new AFK way to train mage? By no means "new", but they are idiots and probably botters. ~It's Super Effective! September 4, 200916 yr If you have your POH in Yanille, teleporting to your house puts you pretty close to the ring northwest of Yanille: code CIQ.
