Advice on Slayer, anyone?

Hello fellow tip.it'ers..

I was wondering if it is wise to bring Super Defence/Attack potions during Slayer tasks when I am only having a Slayer level of 41.

Or will the cost of a Saradormin brew be justified with maybe better Defence rises? I'm not really sure...

I was also wondering whether if a cannon would be time-efficient for my combat level if I was able to earn around 250k/h?

I'm only going to use it for Slayer.

And also, with the current melee stats of mine which are..

72 Attack

66 Strength

68 Defence

What Slayer master should I go for? I have also done Smoking Kills.

Any constructive comments regardless of how short it is will be appreciated!

Super defence pots are never really needed in slayer I find; ever since i was quite a low level.

But super attack and Strengths will greatly decrease your time slaying, especially combined with say a 10% or 15% prayer and the black mask/slayer helm.

And yes cannon would be great for your level regardless because you'll get tasks that can be cannoned therefore increasing your exp because you spend less time on the task

Other than that i'd recommend you use summona for your master, you'll be able to do her tasks easily and efficiently.

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

i never used cannon i think it is a bit expensive at 200-400gp per ball that hit from like 0-30

and if i were you i would get your strength up if you are planning on melleing them to speed it all up and for pots i would use combat pots at 1k-1.5kea you kill monsters more effectively and for food just use any type of pizzas (pineapple are best)

In my opinion, cannon is a lot more hassle than it's worth (I know a lot of people will disagree with this, but whatever). It's expensive, there's a lot of places where you can't use it, and you've already got 99 range so unless you're going for a better spot on the high scores table, it's going to be a lot more useful for you to get atk/str/def exp.

You'lll probably be fine using sumona as your slayer master, though there's nothing wrong with using a lower one if it lets you get tasks done faster. If you do use a lower one, try to use sumona for every 10th, 20th, etc task because you'll get the most points that way.

Definitely use super attack and strength pots though. Combat pots are a good alternative if you can't afford them.

Well, my Defence level is pretty low and the monsters hit me pretty hard. Forcing me to go for a second run with the same monster.. I guess I'll take the advice to not use them then.

Sumona it is then..

Cannoning is not efficient at 250k/hour, though.

I wouldn't bother with super defense on most tasks. I only use them on a few, Goraks and Gargoyles come to mind.

May I know the average amount of money I should be able to earn per hour to be able to use cannons efficiently? I've never handled a cannon before so I'm not sure how I would go about it..

I'm currently using Super Attack potions as they are much cheaper compared to Super Strength ones.

You do make a whole lot of sense.. I've read up Axe Man Jack's and Inuashakent's Slayer guides and I'm aware of that. ^_^

I'm still in a dilemma of deciding whether if the Super Strength potion which costs 1,000 GP++ per sip would be cost efficient for my Slayer tasks..

If super strengths are too much, you could opt for regular strength potions instead. Of course, the boost won't be as good, but you'd be surprised how much a strength bonus (even a small one) helps in your slayer tasks.

Super strengths are always worth it

In worse case scenario you can get a dragonbattle axe and use restore pots, then super attack after, repotting, but id just use super strengths and a better spec weapon

An enhanced excalibur is good, also raises def as well as heal

With 250k/hour I dont think cannoning would be cost efficient. though id still cannon abberants when you get them and have slayer helm, they break even usually anyways. When u make more cash id definately cannon.

I think you could probly afford 10% str prayer training as well right now, and would reccomend it when possible
