shox
Hi, first post here. Firstly great site, very very helpful and easy to understand. I'm having a little trouble with a clue scroll. I haven't been playing rs that much, about 3 weeks to be precise. Anyhoo...The scroll is from a greater demon, and it reads 20 degress 05 minutes North, 21 degress 52 minutes East. Now this leads me too about level 35 wilderness (Where it actually says Wilderness on the map) I've dug everywhere for about an hour lol, but with no luck...I used the locator on your site too, again very helpful. Is there anything i'm doing wrong? Ipshox
shox
Ok, Im using the sextant but still no luck, I can get the East part right, but the north says 33 minutes..
Kiara_Kat
OK, well first, you say you're using your sextant, so it's obvious you have it with you, but do you have your watch, chart AND clue with you as well? If you don't, you can dig all day and you'll never find anything. Keeping these items in the bank doesn't work. You need them IN your inventory when you're digging on a coordinates clue. So let's assume you have all these things. You need to go to the Marsh Lands in, as you say, level 35 wilderness. A little to the Northeast, you'll see a group of level 48 Moss Giants. Find the small pond near the Moss Giants, then walk to the North to the first bush you see. You need to dig just a few paces to the SouthEast of the bush. Remember, the SEARCH button is your friend. shox
Thanks, I did earlier. Now I just gotta kill a level 120 Saradomin geezer in Moye Swamp or something lol.
Kiara_Kat
Thanks, I did earlier. Now I just gotta kill a level 120 Saradomin geezer in Moye Swamp or something lol. Well that depends on what kind of clue you have. When you dig on a level 3 coordinates clue OUTSIDE the wilderness, then yes, a saradomin wizard will appear and attack you when you start to dig. But he's level 108, not level 120. The level 108 sara wizard doesn't appear for level 1 or level 2 clues. I know you're on a level 3 trail because your last clue led to the wilderness and only level 3 trails lead to the wilderness -- however, you'll only get the level 108 sara wiz if the clue you have NOW is a coordinates clue. shox
I've already tried fighting him but I ran out of food, silly me only went with cakes. I'm fishing for swordies now. :)
McGuff1
As far as battling the Sara Wizard if you melee "protect from melee" prayer helps a lot. Don't forget anti-poison because he carries a dragon dagger(p). I'm a ranger. What I do is that when he pops up I run back a few spaces until he stops chasing me and turn on "protect from magic" and wail on him with arrows. Again don't forget anti-poison. Mageing him should be similar to ranging him.
shox
Cheers, I have done it now. My Prayer is only 35 so I couldn't use any of them, I managed to beat him anyway, ended up with rune plate, rune legs, rune pic and two rune daggers. 8)
shox
Not bad for a first time trail eh?
McGuff1
Not bad. Wait till you get a Robin Hood or something like that. I'd get that prayer up to at least 43. It makes things a lot easier. Don't get discouraged by puzzles or wild locations. Practice makes perfect. My tip for wild clues. Only bring clue, spade, sextant, watch, map, good slashing weapon and ammy glory for teleporting at level 30 wilderness. If attacked, drop spade, sextant, watch and map. If you die you will still have your clue (unless you got skulled for some reason).

Kiara_Kat
lvl 1 cleus can lead to wildy i think i had a cleu that i had to go to that pizza village where i make always pizzas i had to kill blakc heather there I'm sorry, but that's incorrect. First, the Black Heather clue was level 2, not level 1. Secondly, Jagex removed the one level 2 clue that lead to the wilderness as part of their 14th March 2005 update -- only level 3 clue trails lead to the wilderness now. The Black Heather clue doesn't exist anymore. Instead of getting the "Property of Black Heather" message when you try to open the chest in Varrock chapel, you get the "Property of the Clocktower Monastery" message instead. BTW, Jagex also removed the need to go to the wilderness from the Merlin's Crystal Quest during the same update. Here's part of the 14th March update: Wilderness changes Now that the Wilderness is slightly more dangerous we have had to reconsider one or two features which were intended for mid-level players and which were unique to the wilderness: Merlin's Crystal is only an intermediate quest, yet it sent you to a multi-way combat zone in the Wilderness. You now need to go to a different chaos altar. We have removed some of the gates in the Edgeville wilderness dungeon to aid the escape of players from that area. There was one medium level clue which sent you into the Wilderness. This now sends you elsewhere. All the high level Wilderness clues remain unchanged. There are still plenty of unique features for higher level players in the Wilderness. You can read the entire update here. Remember, the SEARCH button is your friend. Use it!
