Capt_Davy
Title sums it up, although I do have 76 con (will be getting 80 shortly). My dilemma is whether or not to upgrade certain furniture and the dungeon, or to continue to 85-90 con later (this means upgrading many months later)? note: for the house makeover, i will be using spicy stew (counting on a +5 boost) and crystal saw whenever needed to make the necessary furniture. I am considering upgrading to obtain a greater magical cage, skeleton throne, 2 scrying pools, several baby red dragon guards, Tok-Xil guard in treasure room, [bleep]ey cage, steel plated doors, etc. Suggestions are welcome. \ if it helps, here's a layout of my house (orange rooms are dungeon rooms, the rest is ground floor). http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/User:Darth_Vohra Post away! Uula
My advice is to think through what you really want out of your house, how much you will need room x and y, then build up the house from scratch to be able to use it as efficiently as possible. You should take into account factors such as location of your chapel, glory teleport, portal rooms, your door-building dungeon and anything else you feel that you will want to use a lot. Place the most important rooms close to your portal so that you can access them as easily as possible when you teleport to your house. As for furniture upgrading, you should think this through too. What will you be able to/wanting to upgrade further once you get, say 90, construction? How much will it cost? Now I don't know how much money you have to spend on your house (and how much you've already spent), but I'd suggest trying to get away spending as little as possible. I personally don't use my house for much else than con & prayer training and portals, and have stripped it off everything else to reduce loading times. ultimatballr
I think it is pretty useless to have a fancy house when you will spend probably less than 10% of your playing time there. Sure it is a nice perk if you want to have a party for this or that but really, you don't need a nice house (or even a house at all) to have a party. Get the levels and move on. When you are 99 con and have nothing better to spend your money on, then I say, sure why not create the ultimate house for yourself. Until then, K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid : ) Apparently, my signature was to big.

Capt_Davy
hmm..thanks, after what you posted, I really took a deep look at the money that would be lost if i upgraded after doing a house makeover, and....its over 15m :wall: not within my price range, that's for sure. So thanks, I guess I'll wait until 90 con before doing an extensive house makeover :) Thanks guys!
