September 15, 200916 yr Hunting! Yes, hunting. I'm about to try hunting. Slight catch. I need 61 hunting to do Forgivess of a Chaos Dwarf. So, it looks like I'll be grinding and taking the fast track to level 61. That bites. It bites alot. I hear that hunting is a nicely done skill with a variety of fun things to do. I like that. I'd like to relax, and enjoy a skill for what it really is, but no. I'm on my grind for 99 mining and I just want access to that mine. I know there's not that much that can be done to fix it and I admit it's probably a good idea to have diverse level requirements to start quests. It's a necessary evil in my opinion but it still sucks.
September 16, 200916 yr 2 rune rocks isnt worth it. heros guild is good enough. not much of a quester either, so no opinion ~ 3,072nd to 99 Mining on August 30th, 2009 ~~ 112,084th to 99 Magic on April 16th, 2011 ~~ 131,681st to 99 Crafting on March 29, 2019 ~~ 178,385th to 99 Prayer on April 2, 2019 ~~ 234,921st to 99 Defence on May 9, 2019 ~~ 173,480th to 99 Herblore on June 21, 2019 ~~ 155,160th to 99 Smithing on July 16, 2019 ~

September 16, 200916 yr I really don't like hunting either, I find very little diversity right now in hunting. It's just red chins or red sallys till 80 and then red chins till 99. I don't see how the new mine will help you in your "grind" for 99 really, it's interesting how you can stand mining but not hunting lol. As for the requirement part, I feel that they're still too low lol, shouldn't be too bad to get to 61 though.
September 16, 200916 yr Author I'm not power levelling for 99 mining. I'm trying to do grinds that will actually benefit me. For example, my original plan was to mine 100,000 gold ore to reach 95.5 and then suffer through 65k shilo gems to reach 99. That way I could also blast my smithing up high and then get a nice chunk of crafting exp from amulets and rings and stuff. But I need breaks or the grinds get too bad. Mining adam and of course, runite, would make for some healthy breaks. And of course all those gold rocks so close to the bank. As for being able to stand mining, I just love it. Simple as that. There's just some magic I feel with it that helps me bear through it. Not so much with other skills. I want to do more minigames and stuff but as I said, I always end up in a rush for some reason.

Grinding it to 99 via powermining and then using your best moneymaker to make enough money to buy the others is much, much more efficient than what you are trying to do. So why do you make things purposefully hard for yourself? A 99 in a skill like mining is no joke, but doing it slowly and inefficiently is terrible. What is to prevent you from enjoying hunting? Relax. It is not like you are forced to finish by 2009.xx.xx, are you? You're being watched.

Relax. It is not like you are forced to finish by 2009.xx.xx, are you? I agree with your last statement, but efficiency is not for everybody. Such as myself. I'm runecrafting from 70 to 75 making airs, simply because I use them more than any other rune. I would rather go slowly and enjoy the time instead of rushing it and not really having any fun. In this mining example, I would do either coal and iron/mithril/adamant or gold/silver.
