!Dragon Scimitar!

Featured Replies

Yes, old Runescape is slowly dieing...removal of old Pking, removal of unbalanced trade, all these nooby updates.

The newer updates like Soulwars are just absolute fail...nothing like the well-thought out stuff Jagex used to make. But something which made me angry, for some reason, was the graphic update to scimitar. The scimitars looked fine...especially the dragon one. The looked viscious, they were PKing symbols. They way they were held horizontally made it dangerous-looking, compared to having it held up like some posh prize sword. The new rune scimitar looks like plastic. It's handle is this crappy looking beigh colour, the blade looks like it was shaded by drawing a few lines in paint then using the fill tool. And so what if it's shiny...no one asked for anything to become shiny. The dragon scimitar is even worse.. it used to look like a demonic weapon you could only find through rare drops or by buying it from crazy monkeys. Now it's this semicircle shape with trianges attached, and no, being shiny is not and excuse. I don't think the people who desinged this thing even play runescape...dragon weapons have a colour scheme, they are crimson with grey handles...not plasic-looking with gold handles.

As far as I know, all of my friends think the new look sucks.

To be honest, I actually preferred the new looks of the weapon. Rune longswords look so hawt now. <3:

It really grinds my gears that we don't have RSC graphics anymore. Those were the best, all this new stuff sucks. And of COURSE dragon weapons "have a colour scheme, they are crimson with grey handles...not plasic-looking with gold handles." The three I have stashed in my broom closet sure do - you'd think these people never even check.

I mean cmon. Yesterday my plastic dragon scimitar bounced off this other guy's plastic dragon armor. Was Jagex purchased by a Japanese car company? What happened to good solid Americ.. err... British steel?

I haven't used a dragon scimitar in ages, nor do I pay enough attention to other people and their weapons I guess.. Because I have no idea what they look like now. But I've gotten iron-rune scimitar drops while doing slayer. Thought they looked pretty good now, lol.

OK maybe bronze-rune scimitars don't look that bad...but the dragon scimitar really just is an insult to what it used to look like.

ITs not a big deal to me. I kinda like both, but overall I like most of the graphical updates Jagex does. I wish they would open up RSC again, they have some strange plans in the making for it.
