ihtsch6324
Under the 'Sawmill' section of the woodcutting guide, when you cut a plank with the crystal saw, it doubles the amount of xp you would receive when cutting the plank with a normal saw. Such as, with a normal saw when cutting a short or long plank you'd receive 15 xp, but, when using the crystal saw you would receive 30, just pointing out that it doesn't mention that you will get double, or extra xp when using the normal or crystal saw. :-D
Serpent Eye
ihtsch6324, Thanks so much for your submission! :^_^: Unfortunately, using a Crystal saw doesn't affect the amount of exp you get from cutting planks during Sawmill jobs, hence why we haven't mentioned it in the Woodcutting guide. The only thing it slightly affects is the speed in which you cut them. As you mentioned, you noticed this while cutting Short/Long planks. EACH of these provides you with 15 exp. Being that you can make two planks out of one log, it's possible to gain 30 exp from these (as we have stated in our guide.) This is the same as with Groove/Tooth planks - each plank type provides 25 exp, but since there's a chance that you can make one of each while cutting them, you're able to sometimes gain up to 50 exp. I hope this somewhat explains how we state the EXP rates in our guide! Locking this topic for now - if you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to PM me. :^_^: Thanks, - SerpentEye
