October 15, 200916 yr Went to Durabell for my 80th task, and he's given me like 53 of these things, but I know nothing about them! How to fight what to take etcetc! How does one go about slaying these? I'd skip/cancel, but I haven't got that many slayer points having bought stuff and that, so I'm looking to not skip the task if I can help it, besides I'm probably gonna have to take them on sooner or later anyway. But yeah, basically...uhh...how should I do them! My stats are in ye olde signachurrrre :) Thanks in advance!
October 15, 200916 yr http://forum.[Please Use QuickFind Code].ws?98,99,703,58532304 Is your friend. QFC: 98-99-703-58532304 AA. Skeletal Wyverns Amount Assigned: Duradel, 40-79?Hitpoints: 204Location: Ice Caves (Dungeon South of Rimmington) Approximate charm drop percentages:Gold: 20%Green: 4%Crimson: 100%Blue: 4%Summoning to Slayer xp: 1.99 to 2.60 Skeletal Wyverns drop charms in piles of 2, so the actual percentages were multiplied by 2. There definitely is reason to cancel Skeletal Wyverns, since they're quite a slow task, but I think they are worth doing since they drop a LOT of crimson charms (I average 1.5 to 2 crimsons per minute while killing the Wyverns) and also have a high visage drop rate. The occasional granite legs will more than pay for your expenses as well. To get to the Wyverns, use the AIQ fairy ring code. Range is often suggested, since there's a way to range without taking any damage, but is much slower than melee. Wear the typical melee equipment with an elemental shield, or, preferably, a dragonfire shield. For your top and bottom, wear Bandos or Guthans/Torags/Veracs/Dharoks. It's debatable whether you should use cannon or not, since it only helps a little bit and wastes 5 inventory spaces on the first run (only 1 the second run though). Personally I'm unsure whether cannon should be used. In either case, simply melee the Wyverns with Piety and Protect from Melee. Even if you don't usually use Piety you might want to use it here since it helps a LOT. Suggested inventory- A teleportHoly wrenchDragon dagger(p++)Lunar or Dramen staff1 super set9 prayer potsHigh-healing food in extra space) (Familiar: Beast of Burden with more food, or a Bunyip or Unicorn) The Wyvern* hit hard; I'd be surprised if you could do a task in one trip without using a Unicorn Stallion or Pack Yak. With maxed stats, including one bank per task, about 19k slayer xp can be gained per hour. ~It's Super Effective! October 16, 200916 yr Even with the safe spot you have to use prayer.Only until they become non-aggressive, after that they are completely safespot-able. Just make sure to read the last page of the aforementioned AOW guide, I posted some pics on how to lure them after the RuneTek5 update. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
October 20, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the advice guys, didn't get round to doing the task yet and I'm on a short break as my members was up yesteday, but I'll bear all this in mind for when I return to the game. I think I'll probs melee anyhow, for speed and ease, not range's biggest fan, but all the info was much appreciated!
