October 26, 200916 yr To access the furnace, you only need lvl 1 armour. As for the fatser smelting (2 ores into bars at once), I'm not sure. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...

October 26, 200916 yr Not sure on the xp/hour, but I think Varrock Armour 1 only smelts up to steel bars two at a time, so I'm guessing you'd need the level 2 Armour for gold. I'm smelting 30k more gold bars myself, and while I never tested the xp/hour, I've been pretty happy with the speed. Make sure to get goldsmithing gauntlets, of course. *******"All that is gold does not glitter..."
