Heh, back to P2P

Featured Replies

I just got members for a year, after inactiveness for a year. Would like to know the more gameplay changing updates.

Also, I've been a member for 3 months, so I erm... dropped a lot of stuff. Also like to know the following:

How do I get my ectophial back? :wall:

What's a good inventory for Barrows? (Slayer Dart)

How do I get my greegree back? (I seem to recall that it's incredibly difficult)

Guthans = Still good for poor players?

If there is anything else that may be relevant to my coming back to P2P that I've missed (like getting back certain teleportation methods), please tell me as well!

Sorry if I am asking really ridiculous questions. I'd like to have someone knowledgable to tell me everything in a shot than to ... go look for everything and get really confused. Thanks!

Talk to the woman where you started and ended the quest (question icon on the mini map as soon as you enter the town)

Its not changed much in a long time. Still the best melee armour you have with a -15 or higher magic bonus. Food monkfish are still the best bang for buck.

How do I get my greegree back?

Same way you did in the quest and yes its a fairly long method so make spares.

Guthans = Still good for poor players?

If you don't have 68 summoning yes. Its less important the higher summoning you get as there a lot more regular in there hp giving. Not exactly cheap with current inflation though.

Here's the barrows setup I use:

[hide]barrows.png?t=1258064682

The veracs is good for the prayer bonus, but can be replaced by any high defence armor.

Ahrim's hood is to add a little bit of magic bonus, can be replaced by mystic hat, farseer helm, or anything like that.

The karil's bow can be swapped for a rune cbow if you want.

Skillcape, fury, and barrows gloves can all be switched out too if you need to.

With this setup, here's my method:

1. Start at dharok's tunnel. Pray melee and use slayer dart.

2. Go to karil next. Use the rest of your prayer here, and mage him.

3. The next four can be done in any order. You don't need to pray on any of them. If you get hurt just eat. I usually only need 2 or 3 monks. For ahrim, switch to your range gear.

4. Tunnel time! If your tunnel was ahrim, torag, verac, or guthan, just equip your staff (or for ahrim, your bow) and take them down when you run into them. If you got a karil or dharok tunnel you can do the same, except you'll want to take a couple doses of the ppot and pray against them.

This has been a really good method for me. I always profit, since I hardly ever need to use a pray pot, and the chest reimburses the runes that I use.

A lot of methods use several ppots to kill the brothers, but it's really not necessary.[/hide]

Oh, and guthans is still good. Summoning has become the new best thing for slayer assignments though.

Bunyip = <3333

I've got a bunyip now, and I absolutely love it. On about half of my slayer tasks, I don't need to bring food and I don't have to bother with the hassle of changing armor and hoping that I get a good special hit with guthans. I still have guth though, and on certain tasks it's still useful, but if you have the resources to get 68 summoning, it's worth it.
