The next part of my clue says to talk to the Tanner in Al Kharid, but when I do, he says nothing about the clue. Absolutely nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Tried it, didn't work.

First make sure you're speaking to the right person. The tanner is in the building just to the North of the furnace. Here's a pic:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Second, make sure you have your clue IN YOUR INVENTORY when you speak with him. If you don't, he won't talk to you about treasure trails.

I made sure both of those things were done. Still nothing. I even had my friend who has been playing alot longer than me try it. Still nothing. So I dropped the stupid POS.
