November 15, 200916 yr Well I've trying to play Battlefield 2 for 2 months. After buying the new T400 thinkpad, there is this problem with the audio and Battlefield 2. If i use the regular audio drive, the game gets stuck when it loads the audio part and I never get to enter the game. So after searching for a really long time, the best solution I've seen is to disable the audio device so that I can play the game but without ANY sound. I only have have ONE audio drive, the other one I just installed it to test. The actual audio drive is the first one in this following picture. I think the main problem is that this audio device is HD and I am trying to find a way to get a similar drive that is a downgrade of the current drive. So the game can run. Things I have tried already, so please don't tell me these suggestion:-Updated the audio drive-Rolled back the drive to the manufacturing state-Patched the game-Made it compatible to XP I am using vista Ultimate 32bit, the graphic is fine, I just need to know how to duplicate and create a crappier version of my current audio device.
