  1. I have these sudden buzzes while playing songs and playing games. They are all random, sometimes loud. The thing is, it doesn't happen all the time. But once it starts, it does not stop. Any idea whats going? I did not have this issue before reinstalling window 7 and formating my harddrive. I have updated my driver. Still not sure what is up. Conexant 20561 SmartAudio HD is the audio drive on this laptop. It is thinkpad t400.
  2. nope i am not, i am opening them after i download them. They are all in the temperary file. I put that NASA in that folder just for comparison for everyone.
  3. nope they are not there. I think it has something to do with .Theme and .Themepack. Something with my laptop maybe?
  4. I am having trouble getting the downloaded themes for window 7 off Microsoft website to work. The format off the website is .themepack while all the other themes that came with the laptop is .theme. I went on google and they suggested that I just open the .themepack file by double clicking it. However, it does not open at all when I click on them. Is there any way I can get the .themepack file to convert to .theme? Edit: new info The NASA theme is downloaded from microsoft website (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/personalize) It is different from what I have on system. One is .Theme, other one is .Themepack Thanks
  5. Before I upgraded to W7 from vista, my average temperature on this laptop is around low 40s degree, but right after i install it, it jumped to as high as 53 degree with nothing running. I am using speedfan at the moment, but found this other program called real temp. I used both and they are around 5 dgrees apart, real temp is lower in temperature. Real temp seem to be more of the normal temperature that I've seen in vista, but I have always used speed fan. Which one should I trust? Btw did anyone else's temperature go up after w7 installation?
  6. Well I've trying to play Battlefield 2 for 2 months. After buying the new T400 thinkpad, there is this problem with the audio and Battlefield 2. If i use the regular audio drive, the game gets stuck when it loads the audio part and I never get to enter the game. So after searching for a really long time, the best solution I've seen is to disable the audio device so that I can play the game but without ANY sound. I only have have ONE audio drive, the other one I just installed it to test. The actual audio drive is the first one in this following picture. I think the main problem is that this audio device is HD and I am trying to find a way to get a similar drive that is a downgrade of the current drive. So the game can run. Things I have tried already, so please don't tell me these suggestion: -Updated the audio drive -Rolled back the drive to the manufacturing state -Patched the game -Made it compatible to XP I am using vista Ultimate 32bit, the graphic is fine, I just need to know how to duplicate and create a crappier version of my current audio device.
  7. Oldjoe, yep still says ATI 3400 series.. lenovo must have tempered with it somehow lol
  8. wah really? it loks like have a 3450 then.. wth the company said it is 3470. sbrideau, it still says 3400 series. I guess digitally they never clarified it properly.
  9. i acctually played both 2142 and bf2 on vista on my thinkpad t61. it worked fine. but i just got this new thinkpad, and it doesn't work for some reason. I am really puzzled. I never had a problem with a game with its audio system. It has always been the graphic problems. But if there is anyone else that know what to do, it would be greatly appreciated.
  10. it only says ATI 3400 series lol..
  11. how do i check the exact model of my graphic card on my laptop? it just says ATI Radeon 3400 series. I donno if it is 3450 or 3470. any idea
  12. i've tried to install it 20 times lol.. bf2 gets stuck when bf2voicesetup[Caution: Executable File] is running during installation.
  13. Im not sure if anyone has encountered this problem, but I was trying to play Battlefield 2 and Battlfield 2142 and both of these games crashes due to some kind of audio failure. I believe in battlefield 2, it was the bf2voicesetup[Caution: Executable File] that got stuck, not sure about 2142. In either cases, when I try to access the audio in the option tab, the game freezes. I've tried both roll back and upgrade on my audio driver. Both failed. I've searched on google this problem, but not a lot of people seem to have this and none of the solution provided any help. I ran it with compatibility to XP and it still doesn't work. Does anyone know what I should try next?
  14. i just bought a new laptop and it only has only one drive i am trying to divide it so that there is a lot more room in the new drive (D) than C drive. i went through the usual vista partition process that i learned off google. but for some reason, i only can partition 74GB. I checked C drive. it has 220 gb and only used 32 gb. I am trying to get 140gb in d drive and the rest in c drive.
  15. I bought an lenovo t61 2 years ago, i am now searching for a new laptop for school still. Looking at 14 inch monitor. The look doesn't have to be fancy, nice keyboard.. Ok graphic card. I am not sure if it is true, but a lot of my friend's HP laptop tend to run into problems.. so i am not sure if i should hold back on HP laptops. Any suggestion would be nice.. I am looking for one thats under $1000 CDN
  16. right... and for 8 years it has been more expensive than yellow.
  17. Actually a lot of people on this forum played this game since the beginning. We are a lot older than you think. The only reason why I still play this game is because I can do some merchanting on this game. For all those that isn't into this kind of stuff, just don't post. As for those who doesn't think GE screwed the market. Take a look. Say you have this one item that no one else on the game has (Theoretically), and there is massive demand for it. However, the GE has set a price for it and the price will NOT change unless there is an transaction going through the system. I own this x item, and GE thinks x is only worth 20 gp, when I know I could have sold it for 5 million. I am NOT willing to sell this item because I would be at a loss position. Since I won't sell it, GE won't recognize any fluctuation in the price of this item and it will forever stay as 20gp. Same with green partyhats, I believe my green phat is worth a lot higher than it is right now, I would wait for it to grow. But the only way for the price to grow is if another person with the green partyhat sells it. With limited number of suppliers selling this, it takes a lot longer for the price to grow because GE sets a cap on the price. So it seems that there is no demand for it when it acctually lack of suppliers selling the hats through GE.
  18. I'm not quite sure you understand the concept of supply and demand then. Just because there is a less supply of something does not mean it is worth more/more of a demand for it. Put it to you this way. I just drew a picture of a stickfigure, with one arm. Only picture in the world like that. Sell it to you for $1m? I don't think so...No demand for it. It is about supply and demand. If yellow is rising faster than green, then there is more of a demand for yellow. I do understand supply and demand, the only reason why yellow partyhat's value is close to green partyhat's value after 8 years is because of Grand Exchange. Before GE people can set prices for their hat and it will eventually steady out at equilibrium. If i have a green partyhat back then, I would try to sell it at much higher rate because there is less of it. GE however, force both yellow and green to grow at the same rate. Since there are more yellow partyhats, there are more transactions daily. Whereas green partyhat has a transaction every other day. This means the average price of yellow partyhat grows on daily bases and the average price of green partyhat only grows every other day. This is how yellow starts to catch up to green after GE was introduced. Not because people love yellow more (that is only the perception right now, thanks to GE). Like I said, for many years Green has always been valued higher than yellow. Why is it only until now did people start to dislike green partyhats?
  19. I really think GE Screwed up the normal market. It is not about supply and demand anymore, it is about how often a transaction is made that makes the price go up. Which isn't normal. There is probably less supply of green than yellow and yet yellow is rising faster.
  20. Sorry if this is the wrong section, but if you check GE lately, Yellow partyhat is extremely close to Green partyhat. From the beginning when partyhats were droped, Green has always been the higher rank hat. Do you guys think the value of yellow is going to surpass green now? :o
