The_dmt1234
why has it dropped so much? and is there a chance it will be worth near 500ea again? ]
lagatag
Living Rock Caverns and Concentrated Gold have made gold mining super easy. I doubt gold will get back up to 500 except for maybe due to inflation
Mischlings
Check out Living Rock Caverns. Concentrated gold rocks allow for fast mining xp with minimal attention -- I severely doubt that it will go up anywhere near 500 again. It's great for miners who don't like powermining and want to be able to train in a similar way to training woodcutting and fishing (which is a very large number of them). From there, it's simple supply and demand. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature. Sinkhan
oh that's good and bad in a sense, how long would this go? what log is it compareable to maples? Most likely indefinitely until they release a nerf for gold mining or some crazy new use for gold. What's the second question supposed to mean? Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

Mischlings
From some calculations I've seen, it can max out at 40-some k xp/hr. Each ore is worth slightly less xp than a willow log, but overall it comes out lower than willows as far as I can tell. It's somewhere around the rate of Eucalyptus logs, but slightly slower. Kersei
It maxes out at 65k/hour, not 40k o_o
Mischlings
It maxes out at 65k/hour, not 40k o_o I must've been working off of the wrong numbers, then. I was using some of Qeltar's numbers and found the xp from there -- maybe I wasn't using the best method that he had listed there. I haven't timed my experience myself, so I have no personal experience with it. That seems a little high to me, though -- 1k ores an hour? What, exactly, will get you those rates? EDIT: http://runescoop.com/html/rs_MMMiningConcentratedGoldXH.htm Going off of the number there (695 gold ore an hour), 695*65=45175 xp/hr. Now, I'm not saying that Qeltar is the king of efficiency or anything, but I can't see how you'd get too much more than he did. You're telling me that you can get about 144% of what he does -- explain to me how this is done. But with 99 mining, lava titan, dragon pickaxe, varrock armor, lucky spawns on the group mining world, it's definitely doable. However, 60k is a more reasonable average. Notice in the runescoop test, he uses a rune pickaxe, pack yak instead of lava titan, and doesn't mine on the group world.
