pegpenguin
what does the difference between my level and a monsters level have to be before they become non-aggressive?
Cptbaker08
Normally its the monsters lvl double + 1, thats the combat you need for them to be unaggressive. One example are Wild Dogs in Brimhaven Dungeon. They are 63 combat, when you're at 127+ combat they are aggressive (63 x 2 + 1 = 127). Some places this isn't true, such as the Wildy and GWD, where in the Wildy all monsters are aggresive despire combat levels and in GWD if you wear certain items they won't attack. Some places this isn't true, such as the Wildy and GWD, where in the Wildy all monsters are aggresive despire combat levels and in GWD if you wear certain items they won't attack. Those are special locations, but there are other exceptions as well. Certain monsters, even in "normal" locations, are always aggressive to all players. For example, Flesh Crawlers (level 28 being the lowest) and Giant Spiders (level 50) in the SoS are aggressive to ALL players, even 138 ones. Meanwhile, other monsters in the SoS, such as Zombies, etc. behave like normal aggressive monsters. This violation of the "double + 1" rule doesn't really have an explanation. You just need to know that some monsters do not follow the "double + 1" rule. Most monsters (outside of those special locations) do. ~It's Super Effective! Zaaps1
Thanks I'm glad they are helpful! I have a mining one in the works as well. It's in the beginning guides forum and the section on mining for profit is done, if you wanna check that out it might be useful as well. Yeah those bats should obey the "double + 1" rule. ~It's Super Effective!
