I think it looks rather cool. :)

Objective for new quest:

Balmug - a weapon that is 'good at killing daggermouths" :D

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

All skills 80+

Is Balmung tradeable?

NO

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

Got me 86 prayer so I can't moan.

Quest was fun, story was a bit rubbish though.

Anyway the Mother is tricky. Best strategy is to wear Karils, or black dragonhide with the axe thing. Bring whatever action runes you like plus, water, earth and fire ones. air battle staff and a crossbow/crystal bow (bolts wielded). 3 prayer pots and a super/extreme defence, rest sharks. I also advise a BoB full of sharks. Unicorn doesn't cut it sadly.

Protect melee the whole fight. I got hit for a 33 when I changed to pro mage. Start off with melee, then change as her colours do.

Orange = Melee

Green = Range

White = Air spells

Blue = Water spells

Brown = Earth spells

Red = Fire spells

Takes a while for her to die, but she won't hit you much, I think 17 was the max she hit me. Just keep up with eating with sharks. Try not to eat when she is orange. The axe gets her HP down fast when you get a chance to use it.

The rest of the quest is easy. Anyone with the required levels won't have an issue. For the Waterbirth bit, pray melee around the rock lobsters and you'll have no issues.

The two rocks along the wallas act as a safespot, you can also hide behind it to take a little break.

And what about Kuradal's dungeon. Squeezing in a few more creatures, does that mean more of the same, or some extra ones? The KB still shows the same dungeon so I guess they just added some spawns.

more of the same

[hide]What happens when you don't marry Astrid?[/hide]

[hide]

Me: about the whole marriage thing...

Astrid: ...

Astrid: ... ...

Astrid ... ... ...

(She just doesn't say anything after that)

Her heart is broken. Gotta finish the quest to see if I get to do anything about it.

If you marry her, you just marry her? nothing dramatic happens?

[/hide]

Kissing spoiler:

[hide]If you get married with whoever you chose in a previous quest (Kingdom quest I think.) you kiss the npc. :P

I got married with Astril, you go through the whole marrige speech then you kiss the npc before leaving for Rellekka.

Spoiler in a spoiler:

[hide]Astril gets killed by a dagannoth king in the end of the quest together with her borther (I think) and a cutscene plays where you shot a burning arrow at two funeral boats as they sail out to sea.[/hide][/hide]

Okay, and the sentinels. has a consensus been reached on how to kill them properly? I know they heal themselves or each other.

Here's a run through:

[hide][hide=Dagannoth Sentinels]Kill the sentinels. You have to kill them together, keep both their hp's at about the same as you kill them both down. They use all combat styles, if your in melee distance they melee you. They dont move, but one will always cast magic or range on you if your meleeing the other.

Once these are done, you run through a maze with Dagannoth guardians at level 148. They use melee or ranged.[/hide]

[hide=Dagannoth Mother]After that, you enter a little room before the Dagannoth Mother's room. Prepare here, then enter.

She talks for a bit depending on what options you choose.

She attacks with all combat styles, doing each for about 4 or so turns. She also turns into different colors. They are rather hard to see, but the color also pops up in the chat box.

Red - Fire Magic

Blue - Water Magic

Brown - Earth Magic

White - Air Magic

Orange - Melee

Green - Ranged

(I mix up ranged and Earth Magic so those might be opposite.)

After that, your done with combat and only a few cutscenes play before you complete the quest.[/hide][/hide]

Okay thanks, final question. Can I kill the two sentinels, leave, and come back and not have to rekill?

Yes, I did this.

Something's new with the NPCs that deal with Lumbridge quests. They have icons following their names, so far I've only seen a few:

Chef's hat: (Cook's Assistant)

-Lumbridge Cook

-Gillie the Milk Maid

(Sheap Shearer)

-Fred the Farmer

-Black sheep

RC symbol? (Rune Mysteries?)

-Duke Horacio

Also, Cook's and Sheep's quests give some extra rewards. 500gp and sardines, and 2kgp IIRC. Those who have completed them already can talk to the NPCs to get them.

Any other updates like this that I've missed? (I was only on for 30 min this morning, the computer I'm on now hates RS for some reason)

~Sirus

Ernest the Cikcken rewards were also modified - 3K gp, 4 QP, 10 eggs and 300 feathers.

We were testing the alchs for the axe reward and realize you can alch the item once (for 135k) and still be able to reobtain it free! It cannot be done more than once though :o...the second time you must pay for its return.

what about the dks shortcut?

is it for real or just a wiki joke?

I don't know if you can enter it after the quest. But during the quest, you can cut off almost all of the rooms leading to the dk's, that includes the doors you have to open, so you can go through by yourself now.

(if it still works after the quest, that is)

Well during the quest there isn't actually a path to it from that room, you are just teled there.

When i went back all you could access is the Guardians in those tunnels.

This is the reward for the quest (i tried to use it on one of my skills and it said it need to be 75+, so I'm assuming thats true for all the melee skills)

[spoiler=A quick tip][When you are leading the king through the tunnels you are able to use your food on him to refill his health. This is especially useful when you are ambushed. Also you are required to kill all of the ambushing monsters before you can climb the ladder. Also for the queen fight you need to hit her with the axe before you can deal any damage.]

[spoiler=Quest Reward]This reward can be used on all combat skill except for summoning

Sadly, the Waterbirth shortcut does not work after the quest. :|

they drop long bones

[hide=help please]Any advice for escorting the king out of the caves? I don't know how far I got but they got him the first time they attacked him... p.s. any way to make him walk faster :wall: [/hide]

[hide]walk don't run and attack everything on the way out so they're on you once you see the ladder in visible distance run up it and he should spawn behind you ;)[/hide]

Nope, but using food on him heals him.

Id suggest walking little by little, make sure he is close by and try to tank as many enimies as you can while keeping him walking.

The dungeon with the Dagannoth Guardians was not multicombat during the quest.
