If you do that, it happens that the burners are still lit when you come in etc; in my opinion also annoying :)

Set it to go into building mode when you tele, that gets rid of doors and I'm pretty sure you can still use your alter.

I've banked fast enough to have the doors open, but that run I also forgot to fill my familiar.

 

So practically, no there is no way.

 

The only way is to have somebody in your house. That keeps the doors open for a longer time but, as said above, also keeps the burners lit for a longer period of time, which is annoying to keep track of.
