I looked in the Tip.it items area, and it doesn't even show up, and quest related ore's show up (dayelt, lunar)

Obsidian directs to http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Stone_slab

A Stone Slab is mined in the TzHaar City mines, and gives 40 mining experience when mined. Level 41 Mining is required. If you use a chisel on this with a hammer in your inventory, you get 20 crafting experience and a pillar. It is used in the TokTz-Ket-Dill quest. 5 stone slabs are also required to build a Volcanic habitat in a Menagerie in a Player-owned house using the construction skill at level 77.
